Internet of Things
With the increase of devices and developments in their intelligence, it is essential to build an infrastructure for things to communicate and transfer their data –which is a result of them communicating with their surroundings – to each other. This infrastructure and the interactions between things and the related services are called Internet of Things (IoT). IoT can offer numerous services in different fields including: health, transportation services, construction, oil and gas, energy management, smart city, agriculture and others.
According to researches, the number of connected things will reach 50 billion in 2020 from 10 billion in 2016. These devices include smart meters, cellphones, tablets and other smart devices.
